Adeje is divided into two distinct sections – the upper residential part above the motorway and the lower tourist resort known as Costa Adeje below the motorway.

The upper section of Adeje doesn’t have much to offer your average tourist, as it's mainly made up of a number of residential complexes and supermarkets. Adeje is most famous for the Barranco del Infierno – a deep ravine which has been conquered by thousands of enthusiastic walkers and hikers over the years. Although this trek is currently closed, there are plans for it to re-open very soon.

Costa Adeje is home to El Duque – one of Tenerife’s most up-market resorts – where you’ll find luxury hotels, prestigious restaurants and stylish boutiques. The beach is one of the many highlights of the area and features soft pale sands, glistening azure waters, plenty of facilities and some fantastic water sports.

The area lining the promenade is where some of the most sophisticated facilities and services are located in the form of cocktail lounges, restaurants which boast unbelievable ocean views, spectacular five-star hotels and opulent shopping malls full of designer stores.

Toward the east of Costa Adeje you’ll find more tourist resorts which are not quite as pricey, yet still provide everything you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. Here you’ll find a huge selection of accommodation, including budget studios, modern apartments, large resorts and unique villas. There is an equally varied selection of bars and restaurants available, offering something for everyone whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, a family or a group of friends.

There are many wonderful beaches in this area where you can do as little as lie on a Balinese-style bed and work on your tan or take things up a notch and try your hand at jet skiing. Along the coast you’ll find plenty of bars, restaurants and supermarkets, providing you with loads of choice when it comes to eating. There are also plenty of stores, boutiques and shopping centres where you can indulge in retail therapy.

Costa Adeje is home to one of the very best attractions Tenerife has to offer – Siam Park. An amazing day out for the whole family, this water park is packed with pools, slides and rides ranging from the terror-inducing Kinnaree to the laid-back Siam Beach.

If you’re looking for a wide variety of accommodation options, a great choice when it comes to nightlife and unlimited family-friendly activities, Adeje is the perfect resort for your holiday.
